Apart from the mixed weather recently, we have had an amazing start to the season as a club.
Cricket:
Whilst our 1st XI are bedding in some new players, performances are getting there and it looks to be an exciting 2nd half to the season. Meanwhile, in their respective divisions, our 2nd XI are flying high in 4th spot just 3 points of the top, and our Sunday 3rd Team are top spot.
The junior section continues to develop and we have high hopes for our 18s becoming regular senior players in the near future.
Club improvements:
We have submitted our grant application to Valencia Community Fund to have our changing rooms and toilets upgraded. We hope to hear in the next few weeks and if successful, these should be fully operational before the start of next season.
Beer festival:
Wow! What a weekend. Live music. Live sport. Record numbers turning up to enjoyed our craft beer and gins. We want to thank all of the team who pulled it together and our fantastic community who enjoyed it.
Summer cricket camp on 7/8/9 August
10.00AM–3.00PM
Run by our club pro, Chris (a qualified PE teacher) & Dylan, our overseas amateur, the camp will run for 3 days from Monday 7th August to Wednesday 9th August. Packed with cricket activities and competitions. Open to all our junior players (ages 5-17).
